Born in 1987. Zita has been acquiring musical skills since childhood and developing her own interpretation style of solo singing on the border between chanson and the classical European singing school, inspired by elements of synagogue chazanut singing with piano accompaniment.
Zita currently works as a researcher and the head of the Department of Ethnomusicology and Ethnochoreology of the Institute of Ethnology of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic. The main areas of research interest are the music of minorities (Viennese Czechs) and migrant communities, folklore movement of the second half of the 20th century and folklore revivalism in the present, music and dance in relation to identity, communicative and cultural memory.
